New Manor for Meerkats!!

The Palms Tropical Oasis at Stapeley Water Gardens has two new additions to its vast collection of amazing animals with the arrival of two Meerkats. The male and female Meerkats named Pula and Sebrula which are usually found in the Kalahari Desert of southern Africa have had a brand new enclosure created for them to give them the maximum feel of home after being picked upon and duly ‘’thrown out’’ by their previous Meerkat families.

The keepers at the Palms Tropical Oasis have done their best to make sure the Meerkats are settled and things are not too different from the wild. As females dominate Meerkat societies Pula was allowed into their amazing new home first to mark her territory only then was Sebrula allowed to enter a few days later.

Guests have been staring in amazement at these new and exciting animals ‘’Its not every day you get to see a real Meerkat!’’ said Julie Simms, Palms Manager. Guests have been showing their delight by leaving comments, one read,’’ what a great new addition the Meerkats are, I thought the Palms couldn’t get any better but it has now.’’

Staff at the Palms Tropical Oasis are hoping that the animals will fall madly in love and will soon be having babies.
                                         ....End....
