How do I order pond plants?
Water plants are seasonal, they are usually available from the end of March untill the end of September, the tender plants which are noted on their own page are sent at the end of April/early May, if you do order these before this date your whole order will be put on hold untill the tender plants are ready. Each spring, due to the number of orders , a one or two week delay may be experienced (we will try to keep this as short as possible). Most plants will come bare root, some may have had the larger leaves trimmed off to help with transit, this does not harm them but may make them look smaller than they might normally. To simplify your order, please order hardware items separately, however, plant orders may include planting baskets, basket liners, fertilizers and the tub garden. Plant orders are sent early in the week so that they will arrive at their destination on Wednesday or thursday(this avoides any delays over the weekend) but means that we need to have a shut off day, this is mid-day on friday, any orders received by this time will be despatched the following week and any orders taken after this time will be despatched one week after that, and so on. We guarantee your plants will arrive in good condition, if you are unhappy with the condition of your plants on unpacking, call our Mailorder department on 01270 628111 or fax 01270 611248 within 48 hours so that we can take appropriate action, we cannot offer a warranty beyond this as we have no control over the growing conditions once the plants are re-planted. This does not affect your statutory rights. Plant delivery charge £4.95 (uk mainland) orders north of Glasgow may take an extra day to arrive. please ring the above number to place offshore orders.(carriage at cost).
