In the event of a butyl pond liner being punctured, it can be repaired quickly and easily with a repair kit which uses a butyl adhesive and a repair patch (rather like a bicycle repair kit). Butyl cleaner is also recommended to ensure a good bond to the old pond liner.

PVC and L.D.P.E pond liners have their own specific repair kits.
