The Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition
comes to Stapeley Water Gardens
6th September – 12th October
As always, we are delighted to be included as hosts on the UK Tour of
the World’s most prestigious Wildlife Photography exhibition, the winning and highly commended entries from 2007’s competition, selected from more than 32,000 entries from no fewer than 78 countries!
The competition is organised annually by The Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife magazine, two UK institutions that pride themselves in revealing and championing the diversity of life on Earth, and has been well enough supported
to have been run for a staggering 44 years becoming an international showcase!
Wildlife Photographers worldwide aspire to being accepted into the competition. Professionals win many of the prizes, but amateurs succeed too, because achieving the perfect picture is down to a mixture of skill, vision, originality, knowledge of the subject, perfect timing and good luck!
Winners are announced at a an awards ceremony at The Natural History Museum each October, after which several specially prepared exhibitions tour selected UK venues before embarking on an international tour. No wonder we’re pretty delighted to be one of them!
